1932 – The Dow Jones closed at 41.22, its lowest value in over twenty years and nearly 90% lower than its 1929 high of 381.17.

Dr. Antony P. Mueller: Prof. Dr. A. P. Mueller holds a doctorate in economics (Staatswissenschaft) from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), Germany. He held several academic positions in Europe, the United States (where he was a Fulbright Scholar) and Latin America. Currently, he teaches at the Federal University UFS in Brazil. Antony P. Mueller is an associate scholar of the American Mises Institute and belongs to the faculty of the Mises Academy of Brazil.
